Only ten sessions available per month

I'm Tom Trevatt, an actor headshot photographer based in Elephant & Castle, SE17. I've spent the last five years working with actors, performers and dancers across London to create headshots that actually do something — that get you noticed, get you called in, and feel unmistakably like you.

My approach is that every shoot is an opportunity to produce creative and artistic headshot photography that goes beyond just a “photograph of a face” so common in the London headshot photography industry. At the beginning of the shoot we sit down with a cup of tea and discuss what you want to be cast for, what roles are suited to you, what your agent says, what you love and hate about the craft and the industry and much more. I want to produce headshot images that not only look like you (that comes as standard), but feel like who you want to be.

My full sessions are unlimited, in practice this means between four and five hours, I have such long sessions because creating connection cannot be rushed. Unlike many photographers I don’t book multiple sessions per day, I do this because I want all my attention and energy to be on creating the best possible headshots for you that build connection with your audience.

So this is my primary concern - I want to create work that builds a bridge across the medium, that asks questions, intrigues and demands attention.

I only book ten Headshot sessions per month, and one per day. So we won’t be rushed.

By the end of the session, you'll have a full portfolio of images covering multiple looks, outfits, lighting setups and moods, giving you everything you need for Spotlight, Mandy, your agent's submissions and beyond. Most actors choose to purchase 15 - 20 images, covering the standard close up headshot, wider portraits, seated shots and full length photographs.

ACTOR’S HEADSHOTS LONDON

As an actor, making sure you get high quality actor’s headshots is essential to your success. Your headshots will be your calling card, one of many important – if not the most important – ways to get yourself noticed and get attention of casting directors to call you in for an audition.

Tom Trevatt Photography Actors headshot London

These days, one headshot is not enough for your Spotlight or Mandy profile, having a selection of actor’s headshots that display your range as an actor or a perfomer of any kind is vital. That’s why I like to mix it up and shoot seated, three quarter length and full body shots, not just a simple London style headshot. Many of my clients like to get a full portfolio of headshots they can use across multiple platforms for a number of years - this way they don’t have to book another headshot session for a while. That’s why I offer so many options in my sessions - multiple clothing, lighting and background options that can give a real range of images to choose from.

Unlike other headshot photographers in London, my full actor headshot sessions are not limited by time or by the number of outfits or “looks”. We work until we have what you want. During the session we will regularly look at the shots we have so we can make sure we have exactly what you’re looking for.

Booking a full session with me also entitles you to a free one hour top up session within the year - you just buy the images, so if you grow a beard, change your hair or get glasses, I am here to update your look without booking a full session.

I work with outstanding actors, dancers and performers to produce stunning headshots and powerful portraits that tell a story.

FAQs

How much do actor headshots cost in London?

My actor headshot sessions ar epriced at £400. This includes a full unlimited studio session (typically four to five hours), an in person consultation to discuss your casting type, and guidance throughout. You then select and purchase the images you want from your gallery. For full pricing, visit my booking page.

Where is your studio?

My studio is at 22 Iliffe Yard, London SE17 3QA — a short walk from Elephant & Castle underground station (Bakerloo and Northern lines). It's also accessible from London Bridge, Waterloo and Southwark. Street parking is available nearby if you're driving.

How long does an actor headshot session take?

My sessions are unlimited — in practice, four to five hours. I deliberately keep my sessions long because connection and comfort can't be rushed. Unlike many photographers, I only book one client per day so you always have my full attention.

Who are your headshot sessions for?

I work with people at every stage of their career, recent graduates all the way through to seasoned pros. However, I would encourage you to come to me with an idea of what kind of actor you are - it really helps us tailor the session to fits your needs if you have devleopd your own sense of who you are.

Find out who you are, and do it on purpose.

What should I wear for my actor headshots?

I'll send you a detailed prep guide before your session. As a starting point: bring a range of options — smart, casual, and character pieces. Avoid very bold logos or patterns that will date quickly. Think about the types of roles you want to be cast in and bring clothes that speak to those characters. If in doubt, bring more options rather than fewer.

Do my headshots need to be in colour or black and white?

I shoot in colour, but provide you with both colour and black and white. Most casting platforms including Spotlight prefer colour headshots. All your images will be delivered as full-colour edits, with light, natural retouching - see my portfolio for examples - and a ba=lack and white edit.

Do you shoot headshots for Spotlight?

Yes — all my actor headshot sessions are suitable for Spotlight, Mandy, Casting Call Pro and any other UK casting platform. I'm familiar with the technical requirements and frame accordingly.

How many headshots should I buy?

Most of my actor clients choose between 15 and 20 images. Spotlight recommends having a varied portfolio of headshots showing different looks and moods. Having a portfolio of good images means you can rotate and refresh your profile regularly, which casting directors notice.

Do you offer a top-up session?

Yes — every full session includes a free one-hour top-up session within the year. If you change your look significantly — new hair, beard, glasses — you can come back for a quick refresh without rebooking a full session. You just pay for the images.

How far in advance should I book?

I typically book up 4–6 weeks in advance, sometimes longer during busy periods. I'd recommend reaching out as soon as you know you need new headshots. You can check availability and book via my booking page.

Ready to Book Your Actor Headshot Session in London?
