THE AUTHOR’S HEADSHOT

I’ve loved Kojo Karam’s writing for a while - he wrote an incredible book on the British Empire and I’d been following him on Instagram since it came out. As we all do these days, I had posted a story tagging him as I was reading his recent book and he’d thanked me over DM, then five minutes later I got another message from him saying he loved my work and would I be interested in doing a portrait shoot for the author image on the paperback version. Of course I would! I jumped at the chance.

The author portrait shoot with Kojo was the first I’d had in my new studio and it was a wonderful one to kick things off. We worked together for a number of hours, trying out different setups, his wonderful jackets, and my hand-painted backdrops. We got some of my favourite images for a long time in this shoot and Kojo went away very happy. Check out his book “Uncommon Wealth” when it comes out in paperback, one of my shots will be on the cover.

As we finished the shoot and moved to the selection process, we opened a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate the first shoot in my new studio.

To see more of my portfolio, including images of Kojo, check it out here.

If you’d like a shoot like this, head to the booking page.
