Ep 8. Art Death Life (feat. Jonny Edward)

This week on Photography Adjacent, I was lucky enough to chat to Jonny Edward, known online as Jonny Creative, an incredible portrait photographer.

Our conversation was wide ranging and engaging from the outset. Jonny shared some dark experiences that made him the person and photographer that made him who is today. Jonny's story isn't a series of career pivots, it includes confronting some of life's sternest tests, including a terrifying episode that nearly ended his life. "I remember being in the back of this ambulance, thinking about my past... And now, after a day of creating art for the community, I'm suddenly facing violence," Jonny shared with me. This brush with mortality underscored life's fragility and fueled his commitment to creative pursuits.
