In our third episode of Photography Adjacent I explore the idea of photographic authenticity and film photography with Hong Kong portrait photographer Hiun Liu. His stunning work is mostly shot on medium and large format film cameras in his studio in Hong Kong. Rather than just shooting models or actors, he loves to work with the people who otherwise wouldn’t get photgraphed in such a way. Iin our conversation we discuss the importance of creating a connection with our subjects.
